Membership Fee

Dear resident,

You live in one of the most beautiful and peaceful neighbourhoods in Eindhoven, with wide streets, lots of greenery and friendly residents. As the board of the residents’ association, we would like to keep it that way. The aim of the residents’ association is to represent the interests of the homeowners and/or residents of the Ooievaarsnest neighbourhood. Together with you as a resident, we try to keep improving the quality of life, the safety and the enjoyment of living in the neighbourhood.

What does the residents’ association do?

Providing advice and information
Promoting road safety and social safety
Establishing and maintaining contacts with the local authorities
Neighbourhood watch
Neighbour help
Lending party equipment
Organising activities (including for children), such as an Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny, a volleyball and pétanque tournament, a barbecue, the holiday play week and the summer party for the children, Halloween and the Sinterklaas party

For this, more than 50 volunteers are active in all sorts of areas within the residents’ association. Besides the many hours of volunteer work, we also need financial resources to organise and run activities.

Having a say in the neighbourhood

Another reason to become a member: the government is increasingly shifting tasks and responsibilities from national to municipal level, and from the municipality to residents’ bodies such as our residents’ association. As residents, we therefore have a say in what happens in our neighbourhood. For that, it is important that the residents’ association represents enough residents, so that the local authorities see us as a serious partner in discussions. Your membership and financial support are much needed for this.

Membership fee

The membership fee is € 15.00 per address per year. You can transfer this to account number NL65 INGB 0003 5039 45 in the name of Wijkvereniging Ooievaarsnest, stating your address.

You can also pay by direct debit using the authorisation form.

Kind regards,
Leon Kierkels, treasurer
